Abstract
This article summarizes two aspects of the writer Pío Baroja, attitude and opinion on the events of 98 as well as their stance toward their group (Generation 98). Also, whenever we talk about Pío Baroja, also speaks of topics: the article presents some aspects of the writer's thoughts that are, to some extent, new: his concepts of freedom and democracy.
